April 2021 – Lifeline team provided home treatment support for 37 Covid Patients

When situation of Bengaluru became worse in April-May 2021, and the cases spiked, Lifeline foundation formed a volunteer team in North Bengaluru led by Neelufar and Fatima Saba to help covid patients in the slums. The team were fully involved in assisting the poor patients from getting them tested for Covid, to isolating them if they were found positive. 37 covid positive patients were served by this team. The team helped in tracing and informing their primary contacts. Where needed, the team provided them oxygen cylinders / concentrators and medicine kit with the help of local PHC. The team used to monitor patients health daily, checking oxygen levels, temperature, and their symptoms for fever, cough, shortness of breath, and taking them to hospital when required. Sanitization and cleaning of more than 78 homes were done by this team voluntarily and free of cost.
