August-2019: Free Eye check-up at the newly opened Lifeline Centre

The Lifeline Foundation Trust in collaboration with North Care Hospital organised an Eye Check-up Camp for underprivileged communities at our newly opened Lifeline Centre ( Citizen Service Centre) on Tuesday, 27 th June 2019 from 10 am to 2 pm. The objective of this camp was to spread awareness on eye disorders, early detection of ailments and refractive errors and to provide corrective glasses free of cost to the underprivileged communities.

A team of 7 members from North Care Hospital conducted the camp. Eye Specialist Dr Zulfiquar attended to the patients. The beneficiaries attending the free eye camp were evaluated for vision (refractive error) and eye ailments. Those requiring surgery, especially cataract, were advised surgery, and North Care hospital conducted these at subsidized costs.

Overall 180 individuals were screened for eye diseases, 132 Glasses were noted down to give the patients with refractive errors and 05 patients were identified for the Cataract surgery. Some of the people were also provided eye drops for eye lubrication and free medicines. the total cost of the camp was Rs 38000 which was paid to North Care Hospital.

The Trustees and Volunteers of The Lifeline Foundation coordinated for the success of this camp. We thank each and everyone associated for the success of the camp.
