Flooding in Mangammanapalya
Category : Media Gallery

Lifeline’s branch Mangammanapalya is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore’s city limits. Flooding is a daily issue in this area. There are no gutters or sewage lines going through the neighborhood. Therefore rain water and sewage water fill the streets and the residents homes. Many people suffer health risks due to the flooding, such as malaria and skin infections. The government refuses to help because the poor in this area cannot afford to pay taxes. Therefore little is being done about this issue.
