Mercy Mission distributed fresh vegetables from Ninjacart directly from the farmers
Category : Social Service

Ninjacart is one of the largest tech-driven supply chain platform that connects farmers of fresh vegetables and fruits with kiranas and businesses. With the facilitation by the IRS Officers Association, Bengaluru, they decided to partner with The Lifeline Foundation to donate around 1 ton of fresh vegetables and fruits. We are grateful for their initiative.

The Lifeline Foundation is a member of the Mercy Mission coalition of NGOs helping provide COVID 19 relief to Bengaluru city. Lifeline set up a mini warehouse in Govindpura area to receive and sort the vegetables.

The Lifeline Foundation is a member of the Mercy Mission coalition of NGOs helping provide COVID 19 relief to Bengaluru city. Lifeline set up a mini warehouse in Govindpura area to receive and sort the vegetables. Further, 2 Mercy Kitchens in Yeshwantpur (Run by HRS) and RT Nagar (Run by Mercy Mission volunteer) took 200 and 100 kg respectively for use in their food kitchen. These Mercy kitchens together serve free cooked food of more than 1300 packets per day. The remaining small vegetables were packed into nearly 200 kits. These packets, along with large veggies & fruits (Cauliflower, Watermelon, Cabbage) were handed over to more than 250 beneficiaries in Thanisandra, Govindpura and Gandhinagar areas of Bengaluru by Mercy Mission volunteers. We are grateful for the donors, facilitators, and volunteers for all their support.
