Oct 2020 – Lifeline has operated 3 mercy kitchens providing 43,200 meals in Q2

Lifeline Foundation is member of the Mercy Mission (MM) coalition. It has actively participated in all the relief activities initiated by MM. Mercy Kitchen is one of the primary activities done to provide cooked hot food to the poor on the streets. 3 kitchens were operated by Lifeline in Tilaknagar, Govindpura and Chandra Layout from 24th June 2020 and ran through the quarter. Rice, oil and vegetables were delivered in kind by MM, and the remaining expenses were taken care of by Lifeline. Rs 2,14,850was spent by Lifeline during Q2. While kitchens at Tilaknagar and Chandra layout ran for 53 days till 15th August, the kitchen at Govindpura continues operations and completed 100 days on 2ndOctober.

In addition, food (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) for one day for patients and staff at HBS hospital was sponsored by 1 donor through Lifeline costing Rs 50,000.

Each day of operation of Govindpura kitchen feeding 200 meals costs Rs 4,000. We request donors to come forward and avail this opportunity to feed the poorest of the poor.
