June 2019 – Sadaqatul fitr distributed for the first time by Lifeline in Ramadhan Eid 2019

Fitr means to break the fast or to refrain from fasting. Hence the Eid after the fasts of Ramadan is called Eid-ul-Fitr, as it is the day of rejoicing after the completion of fasting. On the occasion of happiness, as a sign of gratitude one has to give a minimum amount in alms, which is called Sadaqatul fitr. To purify and obtain complete blessings for the fasts of Ramadan Mubarak one has to give Sadaqatul Fitr. It helps the poorest sections of the community to also enjoy the feast of Eid.

On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, Lifeline Foundation distributed Sadaqul Fitr to deserving families among our members.  The distribution of Sadaqatul fitr kits were completed successfully by the Lifeline Foundation 1-2 days prior to Eid itself. A total of 200 Sadaqatul fitr kits were distributed at the following three areas for selected beneficiaries – Dinnur 80 kits, Saraipalya 45 Kits, D J halli 75 kits. Each kit contained 5 kg rice, 2 kg sugar, 1 ltr oil, 200 gm ghee and 200 gm seviyan. A total amount of Rs 1.09 lakhs was spent on this activity. JazakAllah for your contribution and reposing trust in us to fulfil this important act of charity. May Allah accept from you and from us, Aameen!
