April 2021 – 4,226 ration kits worth were distributed by Lifeline in Q1

As soon as lockdown started in April 2021, Lifeline commenced distribution of ration kits to the poor and needy families who lost their livelihoods. A total of 1,136 ration kits costing Rs 1,250 each were bought and distributed to many of the areas where Lifeline operates and to Hiriyur & Amrutnagar. Towards end of the holy month of Ramzan, 440 fitra Kits costing Rs 750 each were also distributed to identified families. A total amount of Rs 16.9 Lakhs has been spent so far on food kit distribution by Lifeline. Additionally, Lifeline team distributed 750 kits worth Rs 9.4 lakhs for Humane Touch. In coordination with Mercy Mission, Lifeline distributed 1,900 Kits worth Rs 24.7 lakhs were distributed across Bengaluru slums, which were sponsored by APPI.
