In view of the massive medical and economic shock due to COVID-19, the crisis in education is unprecedented. It has disproportionately affected the poor and most vulnerable. To assist them, Lifeline conducted one scholarship drive in August 2022. But in view of the massive need and requests, a second scholarship drive was done on 24th Oct 2022 for students currently studying in 10th Std, 1st and 2nd PUC. Total Students who appeared for the exam were 223 out of whom, 92 got entitled to the scholarship disbursing an amount of Rs 6,20,000 directly to the institutions. In addition, Rs 5,25,640 was given to 37 students studying other courses during the quarter.
In addition, students studying in graduate courses get educational loans from Lifeline which they are obligated to pay after they complete their studies and commence earning. In Q3, Lifeline funded Rs 3.48 lakhs of education loans to 11 cases.
