Lifeline provides scholarships of Rs 4.5 lakhs to meritorious students
Category : Education

At The Lifeline Foundation, we believe that education is the most important solution through which our beneficiaries can sustainably escape from the vicious cycles of multi-generational poverty. Towards this, we provide our beneficiaries educational support through two programmes, namely the Support for Education Program and the Scholarship Drive Program.

Under Support for Education Program, we strive to provide long term financial support by giving interest free loans to our beneficiaries to ensure that they pay the fees and ensure that the children get basic education. We also encourage donors to support students till they complete their education.

Scholarship Drive Program is organised once in a year where poor students from SSLC to Masters degree are called for examination and interview. These scholarships are provided for deserving students to pursue higher education whether it is undergraduate studies or graduate degrees. Strict criteria and due diligence ensure that the awardees are truly deserving.

In this year 2018-19, The Lifeline Foundation Trust has identified 59 students studying in various institutions, in Bangalore. The level ranges from SSLC to Post-Graduation, and have been selected by the trust as deserving for Scholarship. The process of test and selection happened on Sunday, 7th July where more than 200 students appeared for written exam and interview. The total scholarships accorded were to the tune of 4.5 lakhs.

We thank all the interviewers, volunteers, donors and the team of BET Branch for their active participation and contribution. We really appreciate your efforts to make this as a successful Program.
