March 2020 – Bengaluru Covid19 – Help The Lifeline Foundation provide relief to daily wagers and extremely poor

We areĀ The Lifeline Foundation, BengaluruĀ and we are raising funds for Covid -19 relief.

The Lifeline Foundation (TLF) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide a financial lifeline to the poor who are unable to access credit, or get it at unfair terms, and extend humanitarian assistance to the needy in times of distress.

The Lifeline Foundation Trust, along with other NGOs in Bengaluru, is mobilizing to distribute food kits to such families and individuals to ensure freedom from hunger in this unprecedented situation.

 

Why & To Whom?

Daily wage workers like street vendors, casual & contract laborers, petty shop owners, part-time & non-contract workers are facing huge loss of income due to COVID-19 pandemic putting them into crisis. Moreover, already vulnerable groups such as elderly, beggars, orphans, homeless, widows/ widowers, abandoned women, persons with disabilities in the slums are further pushed into extreme poverty.

It is clear that the corona virus pandemic is a serious threat, especially the elderly and the immune compromised. This COVID-19 relief fundraiser has been set up to help the people who have been affected by the outbreak and are in need of financial aid. Also, the money will be used to provide people with free sanitizes and masks to help prevent the spread of Corona virus.

Food Kit Contains:

10 kg Rice, 5 kg Wheat, 1 kg Toor & Moong dals & Sooji, 2 kg Sugar, and 2 litre Cooking oil. The cost of each food kit is – Rs 1,250. In addition, Rs 250 in cash will be given with to buy vegetables, milk etc. Total amount to sponsor one food kit will be Rs 1,500
