Right to Education Campaign
Category : Education

The lifeline Foundation Trust initiated RTE campaign in the month of March. We started the campaign by giving Awareness, distributing pamplets, and Collecting the documents. Two centres were made available to submit the applications, in north National Academy Public School and in South our Head Office. Call centre was also available to track the missed calls given by the parents who were willing to apply under RTE.

We were able to submit 80 applications and received the acknowledgement. Unfortunately More than 1000 applications were rejected due to errors in the information, Income ceiling of the parent exceeds the limit, mismatching Date of Births, Invalid 2b certificates etc.

The Total expenditure of this campaign was  Rs 7800  which includes cost of pamphlets, Call centre, photocopy and scanning, honorarium to the data entry operators and volunteers.

From 80 Valid applications 7 Students got admission in various schools  across the city. The Lifeline Foundation Trust is very thankful to Indus Action who gave the training to the volunteers and constant support during the campaign. May God help everyone in getting right education.
